Defender makes switch after finding opportunties limited

Defender Kevin Amankwaah has moved from Swansea to Swindon in a bid to secure first team football. The 26-year-old has moved on a free transfer and signed a two-year deal with the League One outfit. He hopes to resurrect his career after finding his opportunities limited as the Swans secured the League One title last term. Amankwaah, who made more than 30 appearances for Swansea after joining from Yeovil in 2006, said: "I came to Swansea looking to play, but although I made quite a few appearances in my first season it just hasn't worked out.

Best form

"Every player gets a blip in their career and I hope I can find my best form again at Swindon. "I feel I'm going to a good club. They are looking to build something special there and hopefully I can play a big part."
