Wide man tipped to prolong stay at Ashton Gate

Bristol City boss Gary Johnson is confident Scott Murray will remain at Ashton Gate despite interest from other clubs. The 34-year-old midfielder has been offered a one-year contract extension after interest from Swindon and two unnamed clubs surfaced. However, Johnson believes the veteran wide man will be eager to have another crack at promotion to the Premier League following last season's near miss in the play-offs. Johnson told the official club's website: "We feel Scott would like to stay with us and I know he has spoken to the chairman. Scott can challenge for a place here next season."
