The 23-year-old is currently with Ligue 2 side Angers - but a number of clubs are now ready to make a move.
Moussi has a contract release clause set at 350,000 euros (£275,000) and he looks set to depart.
Forest are reported to have been scouring Moussi for a number of months and are now ready to make a bid after they sealed their promotion to the Championship.
However, Colin Calderwood's men are unlikely to be alone should they make a move with newly promoted Le Havre and Lille also thought to be keen.
