Barnsley midfielder Brian Howard thinks the club's £10million valuation on his head is unrealistic.
Howard, who gave Barnsley a sensational 2-1 success over Liverpool in the FA Cup last season, has been linked with a move away from Oakwell this summer.
Although the 25-year-old is happy to commit his future to The Tykes, he has yet to receive a new and improved contract offer.
Howard feels he is in limbo and unable to secure a move away from the Championship outfit unless they lower their £10million price tag.
"Although they say they want to keep me, nobody at the club has been in touch with me to offer a new contract," said Howard.
"I am in limbo. I feel I have given great service to this club, and I would like them to recognise that by doing one of two things - either give me the contract I am worth or sell me.
"And by that, I mean doing me the courtesy of selling me at a realistic price."
