Liga outfit Real Betis have confirmed they will listen to offers for Portugal international Ricardo.

City target could make Eastlands switch

Liga outfit Real Betis have confirmed they will listen to offers for Portugal international keeper Ricardo. The 32-year-old has been linked with a summer switch to Manchester City with Andreas Isaksson or Kasper Schmeichel expected to depart Eastlands. Sven Goran Eriksson's side have been strongly linked with a move for the keeper prompting Betis to clarify their position on the experienced shot-stopper. Ricardo is more than familiar with England fans having twice knocked The Three Lions out of major tournaments due to his commanding penalty-saving ability.

Study

"We've not made a decision on Ricardo's future, but if an offer arrives it's normal to study it," commented Betis' sporting director Manuel Momparlet. Ricardo's agent Nuno Baptista has confirmed several sides have made enquiries about his client, although the 32-year-old simply wants to focus on his football ahead of Euro 2008. "Some clubs have asked about his situation and I'll endeavour to ask that in the coming weeks, because Ricardo wants to relax ahead of Euro 2008," said Baptista. "Ricardo has always been interested in playing in the Premier League, but Sporting never accepted offers for him to leave."
