Coyle decides on futures

Burnley manager Owen Coyle has decided to release out-of-contract Clarets midfielder John Spicer. Goalkeeper Brian Jensen, who is also out of contract, has been offered a new deal but the club will listen to offers for fellow keeper Gabor Kiraly. "John has left the club and we wish him all the very best. Unfortunately he was injured when I arrived and then picked up a suspension," said Coyle. "He's been unable to force his way into the side but he goes with our best wishes because he has been a fantastic professional. "As for Gabor Kiraly, although he is under contract, I am going to be bringing a goalkeeper in and if someone comes in for him, I will not be difficult to deal with." Spicer joined Burnley from Bournemouth in summer 2005 on a three-year deal, but has mainly been restricted to appearances from the bench during his time at Turf Moor.

Wait

Coyle is now waiting on the offers made to David Unsworth, James O'Connor, Jon Harley and Jay Rodriguez. Unsworth is considering a player-coach role at the club. Another player Coyle is ready to talk to is loan star Andy Cole - who is due to return to Sunderland. "Andrew goes back to Sunderland and if they decide not to offer him anything, then obviously we'll have a chat," said Coyle.
