Cardiff defender Darren Purse can play in the FA Cup final against Portsmouth after the red card he received at Burnley was overturned.
The former Birmingham and West Brom defender was dismissed late on in Saturday's 3-3 draw at Turf Moor for a challenge which left Clarets striker Andy Cole needing 10 stitches in a leg wound.
Purse was automatically handed a three-match ban as his tackle was deemed serious foul play by referee Andy Hall
That would have seen him miss the weekend clash with Barnsley, the Wembley final on May 17th and the first game of next season.
But a Football Association of Wales committee decided on Tuesday afternoon to rescind the red card, meaning the 31-year-old is now available to play in the Wembley final.
