Whites defender to see out season with Colchester

Matt Heath will see out the season with Colchester United after extending his loan spell from Leeds. The former Coventry defender's loan was set to expire following this weekend's clash against relegation-threatened Leicester City. However, boss Geraint Williams has secured the services of the experienced central defender until the end of the campaign. Heath had made three Championship starts for the Essex club, including last weekend's 2-0 success over Ipswich. Once the paperwork is completed Heath will now be available for the club's final three games of the season against Coventry, Stoke and Scunthorpe. The 26-year-old had been a regular under former Leeds manager Dennis Wise, but barely featured following the arrival of Gary McAllister.
