Bury have extended the loan spell of Adam Rooney by a further month and hope to keep hold of Efe Sodje.

And Bury also hope to hang on to Sodje

Bury have extended the loan spell of Stoke City striker Adam Rooney by a further month. Rooney has scored once in seven appearances for Bury since joining the League Two strugglers in early February. He will stay at Gigg Lane until April and Shakers boss Alan Knill is keen to ensure he has sufficient competition in attack. "Adam is here for another month," Knill told the club's official website. "I just need that pressure on the strikers and if they don't produce, we have somebody on the bench that can come on and push them, so he is here for another month."

Excellent

Knill is also hoping to keep Gillingham's veteran defender Efe Sodje at the club for at least another month. "We are also talking to Gillingham about Efe," added Knill. "He wants to stay and he's really enjoying his time here. "He was excellent again on Saturday, so we will try and get him as soon as possible. I'm hopeful about it because the player wants to stay."
