Experienced hit-man not interested in northern move

Dougie Freedman has explained he turned down the chance to join Leeds United on loan as he is settled in London. Although the experienced striker is well down Neil Warnock's pecking order at Crystal Palace, he was not interested in spending some time up north at Leeds. Whites boss Gary McAllister stated he was keen to bring Freedman to Elland Road, but despite Warnock giving the 33-year-old a chance to secure regular football, he wanted to stay close to his family. "I had the chance to go," explained Freedman. "But I'm not 19 anymore and I cannot just jump in the car. "I have four young kids and I also have a very nice wife."
