Talks over new deal yet to take place

Burnley manager Owen Coyle has rejected talk that Jon Harley has turned down a new deal at Turf Moor. Reports have suggested that former Chelsea and Fulham defender Harley had rejected Burnley's offer of a contract extension. However, Coyle has dismissed the speculation saying the club have yet to offer the experienced defender a new deal. "It's an absolute non-story with Jon," Coyle said. "We've not sat down yet, so you can't turn down something that's not been offered to you." Harley's current deal runs out in the summer, along with those of Brian Jensen, James O'Connor, John Spicer, Garreth O'Connor and David Unsworth.
