West Brom have informed Craig Beattie he can leave the club on loan.

The Championship hopefuls are willing to let Beattie move on as he is well down the pecking order at the Hawthorns.

Former Celtic striker Beattie has started just ten games since his arrival at the club last summer and the recent signing of Luke Moore has pushed him further down the pecking order.

Baggies boss Tony Mowbray has spoken to Beattie to tell him he can leave on loan as he searches for regular first team action.

"It is something I have spoken to Craig about. He wants to play, and I brought him here to play, but the ways things have unfolded he has found himself not even on the bench," he told the club's official website.

"If Craig wants to get some game time then I am happy to facilitate that for him. I am sympathetic to his frustrations.

"There has to be a team who wants Craig. He has to want to play for that club and I've got to allow it to happen."
