Wayne Hennessey could yet be fit in time for Wolves' Championship game with Colchester on Saturday.
The keeper suffered a mild concussion in a collision with Crystal Palace's Matt Lawrence during the 2-0 win at Selhurst Park on Saturday.
However, medical examinations on the Welsh international have indicated that there is no major damage and he could be in line to retain his place in the starting XI for the trip to Layer Road.
Monitor
"He was caught on the cheekbone but an X-ray showed there was no serious damage," Wolves' physio Steve Kemp told the club's official website.
"He did have mild concussion but was released from hospital and allowed to travel home just before midnight.
"He was in a bit of pain though so we'll monitor him during the week to see how he is."
