New Coventry boss Chris Coleman has been handed a blow as captain Michael Doyle must serve a three-match ban.

Doyle lost an appeal against his sending-off against West Brom in the FA Cup on Saturday for a foul on Zoltan Gera in the Sky Blues' 5-0 home drubbing.

Referee Mark Halsey produced a straight red card and the FA Disciplinary Committee has now upheld the suspension.

This means Doyle will miss Saturday's home Championship match against Leicester followed by the away trips to Burnley and Scunthorpe.
