West Brom goalkeeper Luke Steele has moved to Barnsley on an emergency loan.
The 23-year-old will make a debut to remember for The Tykes, as he is set to start in Saturday's FA Cup clash with Liverpool at Anfield.
Barnsley have been forced to raid the transfer market as first choice keeper, Heinz Muller, has been ruled out for the rest of the season after rupturing his cruciate knee ligament.
His replacement Tony Warner, on loan from Fulham, is cup-tied.
In other news, Barnsley have won their appeal against Lewin Nyatanga's dismissal at Plymouth on Tuesday night.
The central defender was sent off at Home Park in the fourth minute for a professional foul on Jermaine Easter, but he will not now serve a suspension.
