Dean Bowditch has rejoined Brighton on a month-long loan from Ipswich.

Dean Wilkins has turned to the 21-year-old midfielder after losing a number of key players to injury.

Bowditch had a successful spell on the South Coast in 2006 and Wilkins is thrilled to have brought him back to the Withdean Stadium.

"He made a great impression with us last season - both on and off the pitch - and we were disappointed when an injury forced him to return to Ipswich prematurely," said Wilkins.

"We have been monitoring his progress for the past few months and we're looking forward to working with him again."

"We are delighted to have Dean back with us."

Bowditch, who has already spent time on loan at Northampton earlier this season, could make his Brighton debut in Tuesday's League One clash with Tranmere.

Jonny Dixon, David Martot, Tommy Fraser (all ankle), Paul Reid and Doug Loft (both knee) are all missing for The Seagulls.
