Wolves have signed Colchester defender George Elokobi, skysports.com can confirm.
Elokobi, who turned 22 on Thursday, has agreed a three-and-half-year deal at Molineux.
Wolves boss Mick McCarthy has been tracking Elokobi for a number of months and has held off strong competition to seal his signature.
The signing of Elokobi has allowed Wolves to let Charlie Mulgrew and Jamie Clapham leave the club.
Molineux chief executive Jez Moxey told the club's official website: "We're very pleased with our transfer activities during window.
"We've managed to sign players for all the positions the manager wanted to strengthen and we hope each of them will, in their own way, help the team over the remaining months of the season."
