Preston North End have completed the signing of full-back Michael Hart from Aberdeen.
Hart had already agreed a pre-contract to join Preston when his Aberdeen deal was due to expire in the summer.
But the Championship club had been trying to negotiate a fee with the SPL club in order to sign Hart before the close of the transfer window.
The 27-year-old is currently sidelined with a hip injury and that had held up the prospect of an immediate switch.
A compromise has now been reached with Aberdeen confirming an undisclosed fee has been accepted.
Though Hart will move to Deepdale before the deadline, Preston boss Alan Irvine has conceded he expects it to be at least three weeks before his new signing is fit.
