Crystal Palace have completed their second signing of the day after securing Shaun Derry's services permanently.
The former Leeds midfielder had just completed a two-month loan deal at the club that coincided with an upturn in fortunes for Neil Warnock's side.
The Eagles have now thrashed out an undisclosed fee with Leeds for Derry, who has signed a two-and-a-half year contract with the South Londoners.
Derry is Palace's second capture of the day following the addition of Neil Danns from Birmingham City for £600,000.
Whites boss Dennis Wise confirmed Derry's departure while also hinting all is not well between the pair after the midfielder reportedly refused to return early for Leeds' midfield crisis.
"Shaun had made it clear he wanted to leave after the message he left me. He's gone now," he told Leeds' official website.
