Neil Warnock is hoping to bring Leeds United midfielder Shaun Derry back to Crystal Palace permanently.
Derry recently completed a loan spell at Selhurst Park, making 11 appearances for the in-form Championship side.
He appears to have no future at Leeds and Palace boss Warnock is looking to come to an arrangement to re-sign the 30-year-old.
"We'll be talking to Leeds because his contribution has been good," Warnock told the South London Press.
"Shaun's on a good contract at Leeds, so we've got to see if they are ready for him to go and also sort things out this end.
"I think things will be resolved in the next week to 10 days."
Derry previously left Palace for Leeds in February 2005, but has not featured for the League One club in 12 months.
