Scunthorpe United are closing on Grant McCann after agreeing a fee for the Barnsley midfielder.
McCann joined Barnsley on a permanent basis 12 months ago after a brief spell on loan from Cheltenham Town.
But the Northern Ireland international now appears to be on his way to Glanford Park after the Championship rivals settled on a fee.
Barnsley rejected an offer from the Iron earlier this month, but a bid believed to be in the region of £100,000 has now been accepted.
The 27-year-old will head to Scunthorpe to discuss personal terms and the deal will continue a busy transfer window for Iron boss Nigel Adkins.
During his time at Oakwell, McCann has made 54 appearances, scoring four goals, including one in a 2-2 draw at Scunthorpe on New Year's Day.
