Blackpool set to strengthen

Blackpool boss Simon Grayson has revealed that he is set to make another signing this week. Stephen McPhee joined from Hull on Monday for an undisclosed fee and Blackpool are now in negotiations with an unnamed player. A deal has been agreed between Blackpool and the player's club, and Grayson is hoping the transfer will be completed as soon as possible. "We're obviously talking to other clubs and agents, we'll just have to wait and see," Grayson told the club's official website.

Accepted

"We have got an offer in for a player at the moment that has been accepted; obviously we're just trying to agree personal terms with that. "But these things can never be done in 24 hours. It drags on a little bit but I'm hopeful that by the end of the week we might have one or two others in." Grayson has also expressed his delight at securing a deal for McPhee so early in the transfer window. He said: "We're normally ones for doing it in the last 24 hours of the window so it's nice to get it out of the way. "He's here now, he's signed a good contract, and he's dying to play. "I'll be dying to get him in the team and I know he's looking forward to training and meeting up with everybody."
