Danny Coles has finalised a permanent move to Bristol Rovers from Hull City for an undisclosed fee.

The defender originally joined Rovers on loan in November after a temporary stint at Hartlepool United.

He has made nine appearances for Paul Trollope's side to date and scored in the FA Cup draw at Fulham on Sunday.

Coles has now signed a two-and-a-half year contract at the Memorial Stadium after opting for a permanent return to Bristol.

The 26-year-old had previously joined Hull in 2005 from Bristol City, but had made just one appearance for the Tigers this season.
