Skysports.com understands Coventry have rejected a bid from Nottingham Forest for Leon Best.
Forest are believed to have tabled an offer for the former Southampton striker earlier this week.
Best, who joined Coventry in the summer, has scored four goals so far this season for Iain Dowie's men.
Forest are keen to bolster their squad in the transfer window and believe Best can help them in their challenge to win promotion to the Championship.
However, Coventry have rejected their overtures for the 21-year-old as they look to keep him at the Ricoh Arena.
