Midfielder leaves Deepdale by mutual consent
Preston have terminated the contract of midfielder Adam Nowland's by mutual consent.
The 26-year-old has spent this season out on loan at Gillingham and Stockport, having played just one minute of league football for Preston since breaking his leg at Norwich in 2006.
Nowland returned to full-fitness one year after his injury nightmare but found himself out of favour at Deepdale and he has not featured in the plans of manager Alan Irvine.
"We've mutually agreed for him to leave and get a fresh start elsewhere," said Preston chairman Derek Shaw.
"He's young enough to bounce back and go and do a good job for somebody else and we wish him all the best in doing that."
