Adam Virgo's loan spell with Colchester has been extended until the end of the season. The 24-year-old former Brighton defender arrived on an initial six-month deal from Celtic in August. An extension has been agreed in time for Virgo to play in the New Year's Day clash at Charlton. Virgo, who made the move north to Celtic for £1.5million in the summer of 2005, has been a virtual ever-present for Geraint Williams' side this season.
