Leicester City boss Ian Holloway has been handed a blow with the news DJ Campbell is facing three months on the sidelines.
The 26-year-old striker recently returned to training following a month out with a knee injury, only to report of pain in his abdominal area.
After being examined by a specialist it came to light that the former Birmingham man had osteitis pubis, which is an inflammation of the pelvic bone.
Holloway, a known admirer of Campbell, has spoken of his disappointment, telling the club's official website: "DJ has got a bigger problem than we originally thought so he may have to rest that for three months.
"That is horrendous news for us. But that is life and we have just got to get on with it."
