FA to look into striker's red card

QPR have lodged an appeal to the Football Association following the dismissal of Dexter Blackstock in Tuesday night's 3-1 defeat at Stoke. The 21-year-old former Southampton striker was shown a straight red card by referee Uriah Rennie in the 47th minute for a late challenge on Stoke's Ryan Shawcross. The FA are set to consider the appeal on Thursday and if the decision is upheld Blackstock will be ruled out of Saturday's trip to Blackpool.

Contract terminated

Meanwhile, defender Danny Cullip has had his contract with the R's terminated by mutual consent with immediate effect. The 31-year-old was signed by former boss John Gregory from Nottingham Forest on deadline day last January. He has gone on to make 20 appearances for the Championship side but has not figured since the 4-2 defeat against Colchester in early October.
