Northampton have completed the loan signing of Ipswich striker Dean Bowditch.
The 21-year-old has struggled for first-team opportunities at Portman Road this season and has previously spent loan spells with Burnley, Wycombe and Brighton.
Cobblers manager Stuart Gray is expected to name Bowditch in his squad for Saturday's League One clash with Walsall and he is hopeful his pace will provide an extra dimension.
"Dean is a forward that looks to get in behind defences with his pace and he will give us that little bit of extra quality in the final third," said Gray.
"He is very highly regarded by Jim Magilton (Ipswich manager) and we are very grateful to Ipswich for letting him come out on loan to us.
"He could have just stayed on the bench at Ipswich but full credit to him he wants to get some first-team football and we are delighted to give him that opportunity."
