Sheffield Wednesday striker Francis Jeffers is determined to return to action as quickly as possible.
Jeffers has been sidelined since being stretchered off against Stoke in October with an ankle injury.
It was later confirmed that he had suffered ligament damage and could be out for around four months.
The former England striker accepts that it has been a frustrating time but is working hard to get back and believes he will be stronger than ever when he returns.
He told the club's official website: "I've had injury blows before, difficult times in my career, but they do make you stronger psychologically.
"This time was particularly frustrating because the team was improving and I felt my fitness and sharpness was coming on so that's a big disappointment.
"The ankle has settled down a bit and I'm back doing a small bit of rehab, mainly balance work and getting used to having a bit of stress put through it - it's slow progress at the moment but the ankle is improving.
"I will work my socks off to get back to a decent level of fitness before I'm ready to play."
