QPR secure Derby man until New Year's Day

Queens Park Rangers have brought in Derby County utility man Bob Malcolm on loan until January. Malcolm has struggled for playing time at Pride Park this season, with his only Premier League appearance coming in the 6-0 defeat at Liverpool. He will stay at Loftus Road until 1st January and is looking forward to playing for the Championship club. "QPR is a massive club and when I heard there was an opportunity for me to come here, I had no hesitation in making the move," Malcolm told the club's official website. "It's a great opportunity for me to get some first-team football and I hope I can come in and do my bit to help push the club away from the wrong end of the table. "I've seen a few of QPR's matches on Sky this season and I've been impressed. Now I'm looking forward to getting started here." Malcolm joined Derby on a free transfer in September last year, but injury restricted the Scot to just nine appearances in the Championship.
