Crystal Palace boss Neil Warnock is to return to Stoke in a renewed bid to bring Clint Hill to Selhurst Park.
The new Eagles incumbent has been less than impressed with what he has seen thus far in the capital and is eager to bolster his ranks with loan signings.
Last week saw the former Sheffield United chief attempt to lure Hill to Palace but talks broke down before a deal could be agreed.
However, having lost left-backs Lee Hills and Tony Craig to injury at the weekend, Warnock has issued an SOS in the direction of Stoke and Hill.
"We've been talking to Clint, but we've got to agree everything before he can play for us.
"The sooner that happens the better."
