Bristol City manager Gary Johnson has revealed that striker Steve Brooker's latest knee operation was successful.
Brooker has been out of action since April with a knee problem and has just undergone surgery for a second time.
His first operation in May did not fix the problem so surgeons needed to 'clean up' his knee, and now Brooker's manager is hopeful of a quick recovery.
"The surgeons were pleased with how the operation went," said Johnson. "He is now in rehabilitation mode and resting.
"Hopefully he can make a full and speedy recovery this time and this will be the end of the matter."
