Ipswich Town have agreed to let youngster Matt Richards go on loan to Brighton in order to get some first team experience.
The 22-year-old defender will join Albion on a one-month deal after not featuring in Ipswich's first team this season.
And Town manager Jim Magilton feels it will be a good opportunity for Richards.
"Brighton have approached us over Matt and we are happy for him to go there for a month," he said.
"He needs to be playing first-team football and he's not getting that here at the moment. Brighton will give him that opportunity."
Brighton are likely to include Richards in their squad for the game with Yeovil at the Withdean Stadium on Saturday.
