Plymouth teenager Dan Gosling has signed a new deal to keep him at the club until 2010.
The highly-rated defender is regarded as one of the best young players outside the top-flight after emerging on the scene last season.
Chelsea have been linked with a move for the 17-year-old and he spent a spell training with the Premier League titans last season.
Over the moon
Gosling was delighted to pledge his future to Plymouth.
"I'm over the moon. It's all gone pretty fast and I am delighted to have signed," Gosling told the club's official website.
"Now I have just got to crack on with the football."
