Ancelotti speaks on assistant's Rangers link

Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Alessandro Costacurta would consider the Queens Park Rangers job. Reports in England and Italy have linked the former Milan and Italy defender with taking over at Loftus Road if prospective new owners Flavio Briatore and Bernie Ecclestone complete a takeover of Rangers. Costacurta, who is one of Ancelotti's assistants at Milan, is close friends with Briatore and would be an obvious choice to be the next manager. "He told me just one thing - maybe," Ancelotti told the Italian press when asked to comment on Costacurta going to QPR. "Certain decisions are up to him. Sooner or later you have to walk alone. We are a good group, but one day it will be the case that someone chooses a different direction." Meanwhile, Ancelotti says Andrea Pirlo, Massimo Oddo and Kaka will sit out Milan's match against Siena on Saturday. The trio are not fully fit and will not be risked with next week's UEFA Champions League clash with Benfica in mind. "There will be absentees due to their engagements with the national teams," Ancelotti said. "A few players, like Kaka and Pirlo, have not recovered and considering Tuesday when we play in the Champions League, it's better to not risk them."
