Preston midfielder Paul McKenna is finally ready to return to training after a lengthy spell on the sidelines.
The Lilywhites' longest-serving player has been out of action since February with a troublesome groin injury.
McKenna is looking forward to resuming training, with a steady programme mapped out for his comeback.
"I'm hoping to join in with the youth team next week and finally get back to doing some training," McKenna told the club's official website.
"It's seven months since my last match so it'll be nice to return to old ways."
Not much longer
The 29-year-old is hoping that once he starts training, he will soon be back in action.
"It will be the general football training with the youths next week. It will break me in whilst I continue to do my strengthening work and then hopefully a week later I'll be back with the pros.
"Hopefully it won't take me long to get back to 100 per cent."
