Matt Jarvis expects to return to training with Wolves next week after overcoming hip and groin injuries.
The winger made a summer move to Molineux from Gillingham after attracting the eye of Wolves manager Mick McCarthy, but he has yet to make his debut after sustaining the injuries in pre-season.
"The injury flared up doing certain activities or movements like when you go in for a slide tackle which opens up your groin," said Jarvis.
"It just would not go away and it has been very frustrating happening so soon after signing, I could not think of anything worse, but I have just had to get myself right."
However, Jarvis is optimistic he will be back training with the Wolves first team by the end of next week.
"Hopefully by late next week I should be back in training with the lads and I just cannot wait," Jarvis added.
"After that, the aim is to get back in the squad and be in contention for the side because I just want to be out there for my debut."
