Grimsby Town have signed Dave Mulligan on a month's loan from Scunthorpe United.
The defender has yet to feature for Scunthorpe this season, following the club's promotion to the Championship.
Mulligan moved to Glanford Park on a free transfer from Doncaster Rovers 12 months ago and made 29 appearances last season.
He has been allowed to leave Scunthorpe for an initial month to boost his match fitness.
The New Zealand international could make his debut for Grimsby in Saturday's League Two encounter with Shrewsbury Town.
With the Mulligan deal complete, Mariners boss Alan Buckley is also aiming to sign a striker before Friday's transfer deadline.
