Sheffield Wednesday have filled the void vacated by Chris Brunt's departure by landing Etienne Esajas from Vitesse Arnhem.
Owls boss Brian Laws had money to spend following Brunt's exit to West Brom and has acted quickly to land Esajas before the close of the transfer window.
Laws firmly believes the left-sided midfielder will become a fans' favourite with the Championship outfit.
"I am delighted to be able to bring in a player of quality from Vitesse Arnhem in Holland," Laws told the club's official website.
"Etienne Esajas is quick and moves the ball well, he is a very good crosser of the ball and he has impressed me immensely in training so far.
"He still has a year left on his contract but we have successfully agreed a fee with Vitesse and I believe he will be a great acquisition and become a crowd favourite."
