Scotland international Ian Murray has expressed his relief at finalising his move to Norwich City.

Murray has signed a one-year contract at Carrow Road after being allowed to leave Rangers on a free transfer.

Capable of playing defence or midfield, the 26-year-old has been waiting to complete his move to Norwich for several days.

With the paperwork now signed, Murray is looking forward to making an impact with the Championship club.

"It's good to finally get here and get it sorted because it feels like it's dragged on for the last couple of days," Murray told the club's official website.

"I knew Norwich were interested last week, so it's good to get it all sorted out now.

"I knew Norwich were a big club before I even got here because they've obviously played in the Premiership and it's a good city too where the people are passionate about their football.

"It's an exciting move for me."
