Norwich City youngster Ryan Jarvis has linked up with Kilmarnock on loan.
The striker has not featured for Norwich this season and spent a spell with Leyton Orient last term.
He has now headed up to Scotland for a stint with Kilmarnock, and Jim Jefferies hopes his new recruit can make an impact.
"He's done very well whenever I've seen him recently," said Jefferies.
"It's good for us to bring a new face into the club and it's good for the boy to have a chance to play first-team football.
"You only have to look at the examples of Anthony Stokes and Kasper Schmeichel at Falkirk to see how a move like this can benefit clubs and players."
Meanwhile, the signing of Jarvis has enabled Jefferies to allow Kilmarnock front man Paul Di Giacomo to move on loan to Partick.
