Jake Cole has put pen-to-paper on a new two-year deal with Queens Park Rangers.

The 21-year-old goalkeeper only made five appearances for John Gregory's side last season, but has impressed to the extent of being handed an improved deal.

Gregory stated that the club were looking to secure Cole's services as a back-up shot-stopper to Loftus Road new-boy, Lee Camp.

Gregory told the club's official website: "I have been immensely impressed by Jake's overall attitude and ability.

"He is still very young and I wanted to improve his contract, both financially and in length.

"He is a fantastic understudy to Lee Camp and I was keen to secure his services for at least the next two seasons."
