Potters linked to De Laet

Stoke have confirmed that they are in talks with a Belgian club regarding a player but have not revealed who it is.

Press reports on Wednesday linked Potters boss Tony Pulis with Royal Antwerp defender Richie de Laet and claimed that Stoke striker Adam Rooney could go out on a season-long loan as part of the deal.

The club has not confirmed either move but a statement on their website read: "Stoke City Football Club can confirm that discussions are ongoing with a Belgian club for one of their players.

"However these discussions are at a very sensitive stage and we do not think it is fair to supporters, or in the best interests of the club, to make further comment until the discussions are concluded."
