Peter Taylor has identified three key players, along with Clinton Morrison, that he wants to keep at Crystal Palace.

Mark Hudson, Matt Lawrence, and Stuart Green all have a year left on their current contracts, and Taylor is keen to hang onto the trio.

Morrison recently stated Palace hoped to hang onto him, but Taylor insists the striker is not the only player he wants to be given a new deal.

Defenders Hudson and Lawrence were both regulars for The Eagles last season, while midfielder Green is now back fully fit after injury.

Taylor hopes all three, as well as Morrison, will be offered new contracts by Palace chairman Simon Jordan in the near future.

"I love Clinton to bits but there are others equally as important that I want to stay," Taylor told the South London Press.

"Stuart Green has looked our best midfield player in pre-season and Mark Hudson had an outstanding season last year.

"Matt Lawrence turned out to be a brilliant signing for us - he has been a tremendous professional.

"They have other values and I'm as eager to get them re-signed as Clinton.

"There are a number of players in the squad that have got a year to go and Simon Jordan knows my feelings on them."
