Watford head coach Slavisa Jokanovic is still considering a ‘very good offer’ to stay at the club this summer, according to Sky sources.
Jokanovic has yet to reach an agreement, but club sources remain relaxed with negotiations after Watford's promotion to the Premier League.
It is understood Serbian Jokanovic has been at the team's training ground this week, and one Watford source maintains it would be ‘really surprising’ if a new contract was not signed.
The former Yugoslavia international defensive midfielder became head coach at Vicarage Road in October 2014, their fourth coach in five weeks, following Beppe Sannino, Oscar Garcia and Billy McKinlay.
Jokanovic, who played for two years for Chelsea before managing Partizan Belgrade to two domestic league and cup doubles, led Watford to promotion to the Premier League with a game to spare last month.
The Hornets only missed out on the Championship title after conceding an injury-time equaliser to Sheffield Wednesday in their final game which allowed Bournemouth to finish in top spot.
