Watford secured promotion to the Premier League after a 2-0 victory against Brighton at the Amex Stadium.

Watford manager Slavisa Jokanovic is set to sign a new deal with the newly-promoted Premier League club, according to Sky sources.

Jokanovic only signed a deal until the end of the season when he became Watford's fourth manager in 37 days last October.

He went on to play a huge part in the club's superb second half of the season, which culminated in promotion from the Championship when they beat Brighton 2-0 on Saturday lunchtime and Middlesbrough and Norwich failed to win their afternoon kick-offs.

Watford can win the title on Saturday with a win over Sheffield Wednesday, and they could possibly do so on the back of their manager signing a new deal.

The Daily Mirror reported on Tuesday that Jokanovic was set to be offered a one-year rolling contract worth £1m, as well as bonuses for keeping Watford in the Premier League.

Jokanovic, 46, replaced Billy McKinlay in October and has claimed 67 points in his 35 games in charge.
