Watford midfielder Almen Abdi will step up his comeback from injury with a run-out for the club's Under-21 side on Tuesday evening.
The Swiss playmaker has not featured for the Hornets since he suffered a shoulder injury during the 2-2 draw with Nottingham Forest on October 21.
But Abdi will get some valuable minutes under his belt when Watford's youngsters take on Gillingham at Vicarage Road.
All being well, the 28-year-old will then be in contention for the visit of Cardiff next Saturday.
Abdi's return will provide a major boost for boss Slavisa Jokanovic, whose side have won just once in his absence and slipped to seventh in the table following three straight defeats.
