Watford head coach Oscar Garcia will remain in hospital for further tests following his health scare over the weekend.

Garcia was admitted on Sunday evening complaining of chest pains 24 hours after his first game in charge against Charlton last Saturday.

The 41-year-old, who spent the night under observation, missed his side’s 1-0 victory over Blackpool on Tuesday and will now remain in hospital.

Garcia has been in charge at Vicarage Road since the beginning of September after leaving his role as Maccabi Tel Aviv boss only two months into his second spell with the club.

He led Brighton to the Championship play-offs last season, only to see his side beaten by Derby County.
