Sky Sports understands Watford are close to sealing the signing of loan star Matej Vydra on a permanent basis.
Vydra has been a revelation for Watford since arriving on a season-long loan deal from Udinese last summer.
The 20-year-old has scored 18 goals in 27 appearances for Watford and his performances have attracted interest from a number of Premier League clubs.
Watford and Udinese are both owned by the Pozzo family and talks are thought to be at an advanced stage to make Vydra's move to Vicarage Road permanent.
Gianfranco Zola is keen to secure the services of Vydra and the club are thought to have offered the Czech Republic hit-man a five-year deal to make his switch permanent.
The news will be a massive boost for Watford's promotion bid should they be able to keep hold of one of the best talents in the Championship.
